We are bursting with excitement here at the SRA - after a successful Scottish Land Fund application, we have been awarded £38,025!
This is a huge boost to our ambition to develop our new park. The £38,025 award will allow us to purchase the land from the Highland Council and also pay for the vital fundraising and project management expertise we need to finance and deliver the various elements of the project. You can find the details of the award here: https://www.tnlcommunityfund.org.uk/…/over-500-000-for-four… The National Lottery Community Fund The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland We hope you are as excited as us about this huge leap forward! * We recently updated our Business Plan in which we detail a simplified approach that focuses on drainage, paths and children's play facilities. We have consulted with various experts and taken on board comments received from members of our community to develop the new plan (below). We hope you like it and that it meets your expectations!
We will send out a more formal request for feedback in due course but if you have any initial comments* or suggestions please get in touch with the SRA board via our Facebook page, email, or in person. *We have noted concerns about the location of the equipment lock-up from some neighbors of the site and look forward to working out a solution with them. Many thanks to Strathpeffer Primary School's 'Outdoor-ninjas' for providing some excellent ideas for our new play park. One example below. Keep them coming!!
Many thanks to SRA members who attended the Members' Meeting on Monday 22nd October. It was a great turnout and opportunity to share all the progress we've been making recently. You can view our presentation here. |
